Baby Smoot

Announcing The Smoots baby boy… Hand some Gabriel
Mommy and Daddy met in the armed forces and Daddy was a helicopter pilot so we decided to incorporate some of those aspects into Gabriel’s first photo-shoot.
If your planning to do a newborn photo                                           shoot there are a couple tricks to make it go smooth. First of all having an idea or theme is always helpful. You want to turn the head up. To make sure baby is comfortable you honestly want to make them seep through the whole thing. In general I find babies are usually easier to work within the mornings.  You want to time things so that when I show up the baby has just gotten done being feed and is ready to go down for a nap. You also want to make sure the heat is turned up so its comfortable for the baby to be naked and not need to be covered. In addition I have my clients take advantage of the fact that I’m there and plan to do some whole family shots at the same time.

Welcome Baby Jack!!!

One of my favorite aspects of being a photographer is that I get to capture all life’s mile stones. Which in my mind makes me an honorary family member. Last year around this time I shot Erika’s engagement photos, a few months later I shot her wedding, eight months later her maternity photos and now baby Jack! You can already tell how smart he is. As a newborn he is already moving his head around, and trying to crawl. I have high expectations on lil Jack. Happy Easter!
