My Yelp Reviews

I have a 5-star rating on yelp. Unlike most companies that do reviews, yelp doesn’t allow business to take down negative reviews.  In addition, if you are a first-time yelper your review won’t show up,  yelp doesn’t post new yelper reviews is to protect the consumer they want to make sure business aren’t posting fake reviews. Back to my Yelp page, I have 8 reviews showing and 10 that are hidden, which really sucks.
I think my clients are more likely to be first time yelpers. You see I’m very hands on with my clients, I cater to them, I’m part wedding planner/maid of honor and I capture amazing memories.  Honestly my business is my love, my baby and to be able to do what I love more then anything… I’m truly blessed.  To take it a step further I want my clients to be blown away, so I always go a step above and beyond for them. So after my clients get their photos they tend to want to rave about the quality of my work. Some of the reviews that are hidden had me in tears after reading them. I’d like to share a review with you.
We hired Sara for our engagement photos and Wedding photos.  We couldn’t have been more pleased and happy with our decision.  We had interviewed a few photographers prior to hiring Sara and came across good talent but lacked professionalism and a sense of them really loving what they do-Wedding photography.  Sara was not only extremely talented in her work, she is very attentive with any little or big questions we had, even if it had nothing to do with photography, she was always willing to go the extra mile for us-it made us feel special and that she genuinly cared for her clients.  She always went out of her way to support us in any way possible and we will be forever greatful for that!!
Our photos turned our AMAZING!!!!!
We wouldn’t recommend anyone else-shes as good as they get!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I was trying to figure out what to post and then ran across these. Please tell me that my brother and I weren’t the only ones dressing up in paper Pilgrim and Indian costumes?

*Funny side note… The white dress I’m wearing is my Orphan Annie costume left over from Halloween. =-)

Sure Shot!

As a professional photographer, I will almost always shoot multiple images of the same thing. Why you ask because there is nothing worse than thinking you’ve captured a magic moment in one frame, only to see that there is something wrong. Had you’ve shot one more frame you would have nailed it. In general, at a typical wedding, I shoot about 3,000 images. Then in post-production, I edit the images down to somewhere around 1,000 images. Due to the fast pace of a wedding there simply is no time to zoom in on each frame in camera to make sure people have their eyes open, so I overshoot to guarantee I get the shot. I overshoot both formals and candids. Believe it or not, candids aren’t often captured in one frame, even though they appear to be.

Most photographers don’t overshoot because they’re either don’t want to spend the time editing or they feel that with their skills they don’t need to overshoot. I feel like its a big mistake not to overshoot you cannot control people and digital space is cheap.

Righty Lefty

I recently discovered that my husband and I are doing things all wrong. He’s a lefty and I’m a righty. Somehow we always seem to aligning ourselves my right hand and his left hand. Generally, when we got to dinner it’s my right hand bumping up to his left hand while trying to eat with a fork. I thought about complaining and bring it to his attention so we could change our alignment. After careful consideration I think it’s sweet the we always bump into each other.

Our Anniversary

I Mentioned to Brian that our first anniversary is coming up… and he asks me “Do you remember when you asked me out on our first date?”  I rolled my eyes laughed and said “As if, I would ever ask a guy out?” He says “Sweet Baby? Sara, You don’t remember asking me out? He of course reminds me that I texted him first, and then I hinted that he needs to take me dinner. Suddenly I remembered the conversation. He’s right I did ask him out. One year later I’m so glad I did.

Compromise vs Affairs (its a cute story)

My handy man Bud was over at my house today doing so miscellaneous repairs.  We were sharing marriage stories. He says “me and my wife have been married for 15 years. The other day I was having a block on the word compromise. So I call my wife and ask her what is the word that is used to describe a couple is trying to work out issues?” She said “AFFAIRS!” (LOL)
He then goes on to say “my wife has such a sense of humor. I really admire the way she can laugh so freely…” I left thinking WOW how sweet he is madly in LOVE after 15years. It’s always

It isn’t the great big pleasures that count the most; its making a big deal out of the little ones.
